Crisis in Iran and Hope for Their Future
Shahrdad Khabir, Iranian-American entrepreneur,
Shahrdad Khabir is an Iranian-American entrepreneur, publisher, and community organizer based in Northern California. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from San José State University and began his career in high-tech. On March 25, 1997, he experienced a life-transforming encounter with the Lord Jesus Christ that reshaped his values, purpose, and direction in life, leading him beyond a conventional career path toward service, truth, and meaningful impact.
After several years in technology, he founded Payam Javan in 2009—the Bay Area’s first full-color Persian cultural magazine and a business-focused advertising company dedicated to promoting mom-and-pop and small businesses. Through print media, Instagram, television, YouTube, websites, and other digital platforms, Payam Javan helps businesses grow while also delivering daily local, national, and international news and publishing content on music, Iranian musical instruments, history, cooking, technology, Iranian proverbs, puzzles, poetry, health, science, and more. Today, the publication is distributed across the Bay Area, Sacramento, and North Vancouver.
Alongside his media work, he actively organizes and supports major cultural and civic initiatives, including Nowruz celebrations, Northern California’s largest Sizdeh Bedar (the final day of the Persian New Year) gathering, and Miss Iran—launched in response to the killing of Mahsa Amini to honor Iranian women and their courage in standing against forced hijab. In response to the Islamic Republic’s ongoing violence against the Iranian people, he has also initiated and organized protests in San José and Los Gatos in support of freedom and regime change in Iran.
With the election of President Trump, a renewed sense of hope emerged in his heart, motivating him to support President Trump and his commitment to restoring core values, accountability, and national strength. As a leader who values integrity and keeps his promises, President Trump represents a renewed emphasis on justice, law and order, and the foundational principles of the United States—an approach that Khabir finds deeply reassuring.
Join us and hear our special speaker Shahrdad Khabir discus the ongoing crisis in Iran and hear of hope for their future.
